It's just…people, gestures, moments, bits of rapture, fleeting emotions. In short, the greatest stories ever told Follow @ErinMattatall
I’ve always been the kind of kid that had to touch the element well after I was warned that it was hot. More than once to make sure it would be hot every time. And you realize after, going too far sometimes, that you can’t push forever.
The excitement during the show is it’s like a big circle…and it’s hokey, it’s a bit hokey. But it is real. And it’s real for me so it is real. And it’s like this…a fan screams and I go “What the hell was that? …Oooh yeah, somebody’s digging it,” and I get a little more into it. So then I get a little more into it and then a couple more people start screaming. And the next thing you know there’s 10 000 people screaming their heads off at a given moment that we’ve planned to make so big and powerful and it just… we’ve taken the time to think about it and make it happen, and they’ve taken the time to show up and get thrilled by it. And it’s this circle of energy that you can fucking feel man and that’s why you keep doing it.
..and get off this shitty university wifi.
